The first Turkish-German-Georgian criminal law dialogue

On April 19-20, 2024, a criminal law dialogue centered on economic crimes took place at Eskişehir Osmangazi University in Turkey. Professors from Istanbul, Düsseldorf, Cologne, Eskişehir, Isparta, Ankara, Viadrina, and Halle-Wittenberg universities participated in this event. We are particularly delighted to highlight our institute's role as a co-initiator and co-organizer of this significant project. This collaborative effort was made possible through the Cooperation and initiative of Professors Semih Yumak (Osmangazi University), Martin Wassmer (University of Cologne), and Bachana Jishkariani (University of Georgia). This dialogue marks the initial outcome of the memorandum of cooperation established in 2023 between the University of Georgia and Osmangazi University, with active engagement from the Law School of the University of Georgia. Regional cooperation with neighboring countries is very important for our institute, as it helps to share the opportunity to exchange knowledge and expertise. Consequently, plans are underway to sustain and build upon this dialogue in the future
