Workshop – Human Rights in European Criminal Law
December 8-9, 2018, under the framework of Human Rights Week, the two days workshop, “Human Rights in European Criminal Law “ took place at the University of Georgia, organized by the Institute of Georgian, German and International Criminal Law. The workshop was leaded by the head of the Institute professor Bachana Jishkariani, Khatia Tandilashvili, scholar of Volkswagen Foundation, Nino Kutsia, scholar of Volkswagen Foundation. The workshop referred to material as well as procedural issues of the criminal law, rights of victims, presumption of innocence, principle of publicity and the effects of the European Union. Participants were students from various universities, selected based on the contest.
