Memorandum of Cooperation with German University
Date: 18-06-2024
On June 18-19, the Law School of the University of Georgia signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Faculty of Law at the prestigious Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. This partnership opens up new opportunities for collaborative projects between students and researchers from both institutions. The memorandum was officially signed by Ana Khurtsidze, Director of the Law School at the University of Georgia, and Ansgar Ohly, Dean of the Faculty of Law at the University of Munich. Institute of Georgian, German and International Criminal Law is especially delighted to have signed this memorandum. This agreement results from years of collaboration between this institute (represented by Prof. Bachana Jishkariani) and the professors from the Criminal Law Department at the University of Munich (Prof. Helmut Satzger, Prof. Armin Engländer, and Prof. Petra Wittig). It is also worth noting that the Ludwig-Maximilians University of Munich ranks 38th in the world according to the famous Times University ranking, and ranks first or second in Germany every year. The University of Munich's expression of confidence in the Law School of the University of Georgia and our institution is a significant affirmation of the academic quality of our work.
